Marginal Notes, a captivating thematic group exhibition curated by Ying Kwok, will run from July 18 to October 1. Delve into the intriguing myths, facts, and personal experiences surrounding Wong Chuk Hang—the esteemed locale where Marginal Notes will come to life.

Uncover the lesser-known facts and untold stories about Wong Chuk Hang—an act akin to making marginal notes for a grand thesis. This exhibition brings together 11 talented visual and media artists, showcasing their unique perspectives. Join us to explore and embrace the vibrant essence of this extraordinary neighborhood.

香港藝術發展局 @HKADCpage 新址開幕節目《南區旁注》,由獨立策展人郭瑛策劃,7 月 18 日至 10 月 1 日期間,免費開放予公眾參觀。展覽展出 11 組本地藝術家的作品,娓娓道來黃竹坑區人所共知的都市傳說,以及那些鮮為人知、從未流傳及未經證實的故事。

展覽深入探索黃竹坑的過去與現在。位於港島南區的黃竹坑,因為天然地理位置、不同時代的地區發展政策,經歷幾許更迭,蘊藏豐厚文化歷史。像用於補充說明的附註,逐項列舉,重塑出更全面的社區景觀。

The Rock Carvings at Wong Chuk Hang are declared monuments, believed to have a history of approximately 3,500 years. By referencing the patterns and engraved marks found on the carvings, the artist infuses rich imagination, layering a surreal world that intertwines time and space.

黃竹坑石刻是本港的法定古迹,相傳已有約 3500年歷史。藝術家參考了石刻上複雜的紋理及鑿痕,加入豐富想像,堆疊出時空交織的超現實世界。
